Nice Experience - But A Bit Over-Priced

We visited the Statler Hotel on Cornell's campus on a snowy Thanksgiving weekend on a trip to Ithaca. It served as our home base as we toured the Cornell campus and the town. This is a unique hotel associated with the hospitality program at the university. Service throughout was friendly and efficient. The entrance to the hotel felt kind of awkwardly placed on campus, and parking costs the same whether you use the valets or self-park - so we used the valets, as the guys doing the parking seemed eager to earn some tips on a quiet night. The hotel manager dropped off a desert at our suite on the first night, which was delicious. We had the top floor Tower Suite, which we were informed was the best available room - and it had a comfortable living room space with wrap around windows, a dining space, and the bedroom area. The view was of the heart of Cornell's campus, looking north toward the gorge. The bathroom was nice - with a large pleasant shower with multiple shower heads and plenty of water pressure. The views looked out on the main Cornell campus. The hotel itself had several dining options - we had the breakfast buffet we got with the room both mornings and it was very good. Through the basement tunnels, you can also access a student-centric little food place with pizza by the slice and similar food. Pizza...

Good except the heat ...

Good except the heat regulation in the room. It's either hot or cold. Seems like an old thermostat system.
