Exceeded Expectations

I am so glad I was able to stay at the Statler for a professional conference. The accommodations are top-notch, but even more impressive was the staff. They are friendly, professional, and responsive. This ranges across all facets of the operation, including each dining location. The complimentary shuttle to and from the local airport is tremendously convenient and most appreciated. I planned to use some free time in the evening to talk a walk on campus, but I was disappointed that it began to rain. Then I opened the closet, and there was an umbrella for me! These kinds of small details are what makes staying at the Statler such a great experience. I give the Statler my highest possible recommendation to anyone staying in Ithaca.

Recent stay

I booked a room at the Statler 1 hour before arrival this past Friday night. The hotel was nearly full so I was fortunate to nab a room at all. During check-in I asked if an upper floor would be possible. The receptionist was extremely accommodating, however while she was revising our room number in the computer, a reservationist on the other line grabbed the same room. Our room was on the 4th floor, so small that the door barely swung open completely, and was right by the elevator. Disappointed my daughter and I went on a walk through campus. Upon our return, the same receptionist noticed us and waved me over. She explained that a guest with a 6th floor corner room had left earlier than expected. The room had already been cleaned and she was ready to have our luggage moved to our new accomodations. The service was outstanding- thank you for a pleasant stay!
