Exceptionally Well-Run, Beautiful Hotel

This is an exceptionally good hotel - I do mean "exceptionally good". I travel a lot for work and usually I stay at chains like Marriot or Hilton. Came to Cornell for meetings and our host placed us at the Statler. I understand that this is the campus hotel, and run/staffed mostly by students in the Hotel/Hospitality program at Cornell. The student staff are very professional and courteous. The hotel is very clean. The room is beautifully furnished. The views are outstanding from the big windows (and hint: request even-numbered the rooms on higher floors, and you'll have a great view). Housekeeping services are daily (most chain hotels still have not restored that). Just an impeccable hotel experience. I don't think I've found any hotel (including 5-star ones) to be impeccable - I think Statler deserves it!

Outstanding service and beautiful location

The level of service is 5 stars. Felt so welcome and the staff was proactive. We had never been to Ithaca, so the guidance on the area, the campus, the local restaurants was very welcome. We had already been traveling a bit, visiting other colleges, and it felt like a respite after several days on the road. Lovely stay. Wish we could have stayed another night!

Exceptional SERVICE, STAFF and HOTEL

What a great experience. My one night stay at the Statler Hotel was 5 star! The room was clean, pleasant and comfortable. The shower was nice and hot with good water pressure. The food and staff at the Taverna Banfi was exceptional. I would go back and would highly recommend this hotel.

Awesome experience.

I came here last month to visit my youngest son at Cornell University after attending a conference in Columbus, Ohio. This is not my first coming to the hotel. My family and I stayed here every time we're here in Ithaca. I arrived almost after 11 pm. on Friday evening night and all the staff were very attentive and helpful. My room didn't have to view, which I didn't mind, and I already expected it because the hotel is packed that weekend because of an event going on at the hotel. The bed was comfortable, and the room was large enough.
