What Guests Say About Cornell's Landmark Hotel

Stopped by here to eat at the restaurant in the hotel. Staffed by school graduates and students, it lives up to its reputation as one of the best places to eat in the area. The lobster handkerchief pasta was light and savory, the steak was cooked to the exact specification, and the sides of corn succotash and potato puree were excellent. The s'mores dessert was a little on the sweet side, but made for a nice summary at the end of the meal. Portions here tend to trend a little bit more towards the European size, a little smaller, which is a nice change of pace from the giant meals you'll find elsewhere. I you can actually order takeout here too and they package it well. Unfortunately they didn't have the calamari anymore.

It's a nice place

Super convenient if visiting Cornell. The staff is great. The facility and rooms are in need of some updating.

It is obvious that they're going for elegant. The price tag says upscale but the rooms are nice at best. I expected more "extras" for a price that high. The shower was clogged and the view was a gravel rooftop.
