Cornell's Vaccination Policy
We require that all overnight guests over the age of 12 present proof of vaccination for COVID-19 or results of a negative COVID-19 test in the past 3 days, upon check-in.
Proof of vaccination accepted includes your vaccination card, photo of your vaccination card, Excelsior Pass, the Key to NYC Pass, or an equivalent government-provided digital record. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test may be provided in lieu of vaccination information, by sharing the results of a FDA- or DOH-authorized PCR, rapid PCR, or nucleic acid amplification test (NAAT) COVID-19 test collected within 72 hours of the visit.

- General Health & Safety
- Masks and Face Coverings: Masks are required in The Statler Hotel and in all Cornell University campus buildings and facilities regardless of vaccination status.
- Statler Hotel Staff Members: Staff members complete Cornell University's daily health screening prior to arriving to work to confirm they are not experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19. All unvaccinated staff members participate in Cornell's surveillance testing program. Staff members are required to wear protective face masks at all times. Appropriate PPE will be worn by all staff members based on their role and responsibilities and in adherence to state and local regulations and guidance. Every staff member has been trained on enhanced hygiene and safety protocols, as well as how to respond and report presumed cases of COVID-19.
- CDC Approved Cleaning: The hotel's schedule of cleaning and sanitizing has been enhanced; this includes all public areas including doorknobs, handles & railings, elevators and other common touch points. All cleaning products have been approved by the CDC. Hand sanitizing stations have been added throughout the hotel in public areas. This includes the Registration Desk in the main lobby and entrances to all meeting rooms and restaurants.

- Guests, and staff members, are expected to wear masks or face coverings while in public areas of the hotel. Please familiarize yourself with Cornell University face covering policy.
- Upon check-in guests over the age of 12 must present proof of faccination for COVID-19 or results of a negative COVID-19 test in the past 3 days.
- Guests are encouraged to self-park.
- The airport shuttle to/from the Ithaca airport is in operation and is thoroughly cleaned before and after each use. Staff members and guests must wear masks during the shuttle service.
- Safety plexiglass has been installed at the Front Desk.
- Bell staff will assist guests with bell carts and be disinfected after each use.
- You may opt out of Housekeeping service upon check-in.
- Wellness kits are offered upon check-in, which include face masks, sanitizing wipes, and hand sanitizer.
- Rooms + Suites
- Frequent cleaning with disinfectants against COVID-19 in all accommodations
- Guest keys sanitized for a safe and clean experience
- Frequently disinfect high touchpoints, including switch panels, remote controls, faucets

- Dining at The Statler Hotel
In All Food and Beverage Outlets:
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting meets CDC and EPA guidelines.
- Safety Plexiglass barriers are in place at cashier and host stations.
- Condiments are available in single use containers.
- Face masks or face coverings are required for all individuals in all outlets, unless seated to eat or drink.

Terrace Restaurant

- Face masks are required for all individuals in the ordering area and in the Dining Room, when not seated to eat or drink.
- Tables are sanitized between each use.
- Ordering and payment systems are now contactless. Cash payments are not accepted at this time.
- For Cornell Students online ordering is available through the GET App with pick-up in the Terrace Lounge (pick-up location subject to change).
Macs Café
- Macs Cafe remains closed. Please stay tuned for Fall 2021 hours of operation.

Cornell Campus Tips
- Are the staff required to wear masks? Yes, our fully trained staff will be wearing masks at all times, and our cleaning staff use disposable gloves to protect guests from cross-contamination.
- What enhanced cleaning measures are in place? We’ve committed to brand-new deep cleaning procedures that include daily disinfecting of all rooms, surfaces, and common areas, under the guidance of the CDC and Department of Health.
- Does the property have hand sanitizing stations? Yes, guests can find hand sanitizing stations throughout the property. We can also provide additional supplies on request to ensure extra protection.
- Are local restaurants open? Yes, restaurants are open, but with proper precautions in place. Indoor and patio dining are both permitted, but visitors are asked to follow social distancing protocols and wear protective masks while entering.
- Where is the best place to park? Guests are encouraged to self-park. Please come to the front circle of the hotel to unload. The bellman will assign you a parking space and you will be able to then go park your car in The Statler Hotel parking lot, which is next to Barton Hall. Your guestroom key will allow you to come and go from the lot. Parking is $15 per day. Valet is available for those needing the accommodation.
- Does the hotel offer in-room dining? Yes, The Statler Hotel offers in-room dining. The menu can be found on the guestroom TV. If you prefer your order in a to-go container and delivered contactless outside your door please let the server know upon ordering.
- Are we able to make coffee in our guestrooms? Yes, the Keurig one-cup coffee maker is available in your guestroom.
- Is your fitness center open? Yes, our fitness center is open and the frequency and scope of cleaning and sanitizing practices has been increased. Some equipment may be unavailable in order to adhere to the current physical distancing guidelines.
