Nice but too pricey

Very nice hotel with attentive staff. My only complaint was the fitness facility was very, very small. Could have given 5 stars but it was incredibly expensive for what it was (and being in Ithaca, NY, not Manhattan). Of course, being on campus is advantageous.

Very Convenient for Campus Tour; Clean Rooms

The campus tour starts out the back door. Staff were very friendly. The rooms remind me of those at Hampton Inns although the showers are much better. Free bottled water in the fridge. The breakfast buffet has a wide range of offerings but is not cheap. We would definitely stay here again if we had a reason to be on campus.

Nice Experience - But A Bit Over-Priced

We visited the Statler Hotel on Cornell's campus on a snowy Thanksgiving weekend on a trip to Ithaca. It served as our home base as we toured the Cornell campus and the town. This is a unique hotel associated with the hospitality program at the university. Service throughout was friendly and efficient. The entrance to the hotel felt kind of awkwardly placed on campus, and parking costs the same whether you use the valets or self-park - so we used the valets, as the guys doing the parking seemed eager to earn some tips on a quiet night. The hotel manager dropped off a desert at our suite on the first night, which was delicious. We had the top floor Tower Suite, which we were informed was the best available room - and it had a comfortable living room space with wrap around windows, a dining space, and the bedroom area. The view was of the heart of Cornell's campus, looking north toward the gorge. The bathroom was nice - with a large pleasant shower with multiple shower heads and plenty of water pressure. The views looked out on the main Cornell campus. The hotel itself had several dining options - we had the breakfast buffet we got with the room both mornings and it was very good. Through the basement tunnels, you can also access a student-centric little food place with pizza by the slice and similar food. Pizza...

Big Red Hotel

This is my second stay at the Statler property which is on Cornell campus and is staffed with many Cornell students, especially those that are from the School of Hotel Admim. As guests, you are in the heart of the Cornell campus. Perfect if visiting the university. Fall is the best season to visit with the seasonal fall foliage. Rooms are large and the bed is very comfortable.Nice lounge with drinks and snacks. Cornell Red color scheme is everywhere.
